Board of intermediate and secondary education DI Khan was established as the regulatory board of Government of KPK education ministry to facilitate the educational activities and events by its efforts. Earlier before the founding of DI Khan Board, Peshawar Board was the main responsible authority for acting all duties in the whole province.

But the by time passing, there was feeling of extreme need of autonomous commanding body in this region to facilitate the institutions, students, Teachers and conducting exams of matric and intermediate. Following areas under the command of board are District Lakki marwat, Tank, Jhok wazir Korai, and Dullewala. Bise DI Khan announces the date sheet of matric just before the month of matric examinations and it conducts its matric examination in March. Result of matric also announces by the board in the month of July or August.
